I know that's a silly question! I go to the gym and run then usually do certain machines. I feel like I am getting no where. What is a good way to make a workout plan that if efficient. Should I get the Nike training and do that? HELP PLEASE

Also, to what equipment do you have access? IOW: what type of gym do you go to?

do things you enjoy doing. I like riding my bike...so I do that a lot..and I do some hiking and swimming as well. Occasionally I will go for a run. In regards to resistance training, it is most beneficial to work with an actual program that has already been established.

There are numerous beginner programs out there. You are also better off using free weights for the majority of your training. A couple of good programs to look into are New Rules of Lifting for Women and Strong Curves. These are general fitness resistance programs. Also, Starting Strength and Strong Lifts 5x5 are often mentioned, but these programs are geared more towards maximal strength gains. There are also a host of different routines on websites like Bodybuilding.com.

Doing an already programmed routine will tell you what you should be doing and when to do it. Keep in mind that another key to "getting somewhere" is progressive overload...you have to continue to challenge yourself...pushing and pulling the same weight into perpetuity isn't going to do a whole lot.
