Weight gain question

Before I ask my question, I do not use my scale as the main indicator for what is working (or not), and I understand how weight loss/muscle gain influences your weight. This is just a question that I haven't been able to find the answer to, and it has me a bit perplexed. I weighed myself when I woke up. Then I went downstairs for a couple of hours and watched TV. After that I went back upstairs to take a shower and weighed myself again. I had gained 1.2 lbs in the two hours since the first weigh in without eating or drinking anything at all. I was wearing the same shorts both times, always use the same scale, and it is on a flat surface. I use a digital scale that has always seemed accurate when compared to the scales at the hospital I work at. I weighed myself a few more times in the next 10 minutes or so, and it kept showing 1.2 lbs heavier than the initial reading. What could cause you to gain weight without eating or drinking anything at all?

digital scales are very touchy...they react to all kinds of other elements like heat, humidity, etc. I can literally step on mine a couple minutes later and if I've had the shower running or something I'll weigh a couple pounds more or sometimes even less.0
