I heard sweeteners are bad and cause cancer. Is Stevia in this group to be bad?

You heard wrong. There is no scientific evidence to back up the fear mongering around artificial sweeteners. Use whatever taste best to you.0

Refined stevia (Truvia) has been deemed Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS). To get a bit technical, Crude stevia extract is not approved by the FDA.
More studies are needed.. as with any sweetner, use in moderation..0 -
Considering how long the list is getting for things that are cancer causing these days, I would not worry about it. If the artificial sweeteners don't give you cancer you can bet something else will, lol.0

No, artificial sweeteners do not cause cancer nor are they 'bad' There's nothing wrong with them, or with real sugar either.0
