I'm 300 lbs 32 year old male. People will overlook and ignore this post but I have lost 95 lbs twice and It only took me 6 months both times. I have been in a stink for the past 2 years due to life circumstances but I'm ready to bounce back. This is funny, you will all see my testimony, ignore it. I post my results after 6 months and gain a gazillion friends. I am dependent on my own strength. We will all fall but the only thing that counts is if you can get back up again. This is life, I am here for a reason. I will be ignored for now but be King in half a year

Well that gives you something to look forward to in 6 months.
Did you maintain the 95 lb losses or have you lost roughly the same 95 lbs twice? I am just wondering. Do you mind if I ask how you lost the weight the other times? I know life has a tendency to get in the way and set us back.0 -
First time was lifestyle changes. I ate consistently healthy Monday through Friday and only had one cheat meal on the weekends. I became more active by going out and doing anything that allowed me to walk and be more active. Learned yoga, excelled after only a few weeks thanks to Tony Hortons p90x yoga. I constantly mixed things up to keep from getting bored from jogging to Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Body burns calories doing just about everything as long as you are moving. I think I was 80% healthy food choices and 20% exercise during the beginning and towards the end 50% exercise and 50% healthy food because I was able to do more. Second time I supplemented two herbalife shakes for 2 meals for 4 months. Lost about 40 lbs during that time frame. Stayed active by joining a free fitness camp through the nutritional spot club but prior to that I had already lost 40 lbs on my own mainly eating healthy and doing yoga. Lol it was funny trying to do yoga at 300 lbs but the benefits out weigh the effort even if you just do 10 or 15 mins. All of it came from mind over body. I was ready for positive change and my body had no choice but to follow my minds lead. I am ready again after two many set back. I also did some weight training, it really does boast your metabolism easily.0

Honestly you don't need healthy shakes. It's just mainly for lazy people like me who don't like to cook. I enjoyed it at the time because living life on the go, it was easy to make myself a shake. And they didn't suck and taste like booty like most bland health shakes . But as long as I maintained a healthy lifestyle with smart food choices both times the weight dramatically fail off me.0

I have never tried yoga...might have to try that to get through this current plateau.
I am not a fan of shakes, mostly because of the taste and because I tried them so many times with only short term success. Did you regain the weight when circumstances changed? I have lost 120 lbs and have been maintaining there pretty much the last few months but I want to lose more. Unfortunately I think I am going to have to do something drastic to get there. As my weight has gone down so is the amount of calories burned by exercise because I am moving less mass.0 -
My weight ballooned due to life circumstances. I lost my job, apartment, and a few friends. I have been in limbo for 2 years now. All the people that looked to me when I was 190 lbs attractive and fit disappeared. My wife is my main support now. Mix things up is my suggestion. You are doing awesome to lose 120lbs. Try yoga via YouTube or exercise video. It feels awkward at first but I always felt refreshed and able to move around alot better afterwards. I did yoga one day, jogged for 30 minutes the next, did some weight training because muscle ultimately burns more fat over time and speeds up your metabolism. Everyday was different and my body didn't plateau because I had so much weight on me. Once I got down to 190lbs, I mainly lift weights. Good compound lifts for gaining muscle. That seemed to get rid of the plateau because I never lifted before and a beginner has more gains naturally in the beginning then someone who has been lifting for years. Lol I'm getting excited thinking about my plans and the future.0

Everyday I did my own thing and incorporated what I learned from exercise videos and the people I came into contact with while I was fit and active. Everything during that time was 100% psychological for me because I was ready for positive change. People admire the results but never understand the struggle it takes to get there. I have no real supporters now which doesn't surprise me. But I've done it before and I will do it again. This time even when I reach my goals. I will continue to do things alone.0

Also try interval training. I use to jog on the treadmill to warm up for 5 mind, walk for 2 minutes and run at top speed for a minute and kept switching up like that for 20 minutes. Sweated big time and speeds up your metabolism because the body continues to burn calories afterwards like weight training. Normally when you just jog for 30 minutes straight it is good for you but only for endurance. Intervals is the best of both worlds. I know a ton of tricks lol.0
