Lot of people on vacation this week. Ann was a the big loser this week by a long shot. WTG, Ann!!!!!! Your turn to make up this week's challenge.

I magically came in with a decent number after weighing between 3-4 pounds heavier most of the week. I ate well over the weekend, and I think I flushed all the extra sodium out of my system.

MFP-31.jpg

So for anyone who wants to join. During your 1st week in the group, send me your starting weight, last Sunday's weight, and this week's weigh in (we do them on Sunday). All information must be sent to me by noon Central on Monday. All subsequent week's you just have to give me your current weight from Sunday by noon on Monday.

This is an open group, and we love to have new people join. If you want to join, go ahead and start posting, tell us about yourself, we have been doing this diet thing a while and may be able to answer a lot of our questions!!!!

WOW!!! Well, I wouldn't really consider myself having done anything exceptional other than getting back to where I was a couple of weeks ago!!!! However, am glad to be there and back on track. This week's challenge.....HMMMM.....okay here we go.....Let's have a strength and a cardio.....

    1. I know not everyone can do some of the strength stuff for a variety of reasons so.....let's do some sort of strength training....be it push ups, sit ups, crunches, squats....something BUT.....let's up the count to 50 each!!!

    2. Because the weather is getting so nice (just about everywhere) our cardio is to do 30 minutes of something outdoors......walking, jogging, gardening, tennis, whatever you chose....mix and match but something outdoors every day!!!!

Holy gamoly, now I have to live up to the challenge !;) And of course we all want to drink our water. That is just a given to me.

    Have a wonderful week everyone!

Hi all, I know this is the wrong attitude, but I was going to start to get back to the grind this week, then remember I will be at farm progress for 3 days, so decided to say to heck with it, pig out week, will get back at it Sunday. My mind just isn't in it right now. So hopefully I can stick to the starting Sunday (which is Father's Day).

Did 50 crunches and 50 bicep curls today. Went for a short walk with the kids, but no 30 minutes. I figure I will get my fill of walking at farm progress for 3 days. Still nice out here, just trying to get caught up on some books, then hopefully can get caught up on house work next week. Have a grad party to attend on June 26, then we are off camping from the 30th till July 4. So we are going to be busy around here.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Congrats Ann on the win, and thanks Jack for the chart. I definately went in the wrong direction. Just have to get my head back into the game, for those last 10-15 pounds.

    Morning Team,

After coming back from a music festival and gaining nearly 6 pounds (yes 6 pounds!!!), I have my work cut out for me again. I am getting back on track tonight with golf and then will be hitting the gym each day without a break until I loss what I gained.

Hope everyone has a great week and weekend. Not sure how the weather is where you live, but it's incredibly hot here in Tn with the heat index over 100.

What kind of music festival? We are a very music family!!!! You will have the 6 lbs gone in no time. Could just be water or sodium!!!!!

good morning team. Got my crunches and my 30 minutes in yesterday. Gosh it was like 9:00 PM before I got headed out the door as I had twirling, and then dinner, and then worked on my son's Keokum costume for the play. He looks great. I can't wait to see him on stage!

Hope everyone has a great day. Suppose to be in the 90's all week, so will be getting my outdoor activities done at night. I love that time as my hubby and I walk together and it is kind of "our" time. It feels great!

My wife and I go to "Bonnaroo" every year which takes place in Manchester Tn (about 1 hour from Nashville). It's a modern day Woodstock for sure. Lots of great music, arts, and food. If you like music festivals this is one you have to experience at least once in your life. It's once a year around the same time and draws about 100,000 people or so and lots of great music, comedy, events, etc...

    Good morning team!

Thanks for the info Hawkeye! Sounds like a great time! May have to check it out. I have a sister that lives in Liberty.

Well....didn't get any exercise yesterday. Had a baton twirling accident the night before at lessons. I was showing a student a new trick and caught the baton with my face. Have quite the swelling and bruising going on! Didn't feel up to much of anything last night. It is still getting worse as time goes by. The bruising I don't mind but it HURTS!!!!!

No matter, I am getting to Curves tonight and getting back in the swing with the other stuff!

    Have a great day!

    TGIF Team,

Hope everyone has a great active weekend. Went back to the gym last night after taking a week off and boy did I sure feel it. It felt great afterwards and I am glad I was able to get back into the swing of things, but I was really dragging during my workout.

Anyway, I noticed several of our team is MIA. Hope everyone is ok????

    Take care, Hawkeye

Good morning team...I got back from Hilton Head Island Friday morning about 3:00 and have been going ever since. It is a lot of work to get the camper unloaded, wash a week's worth of laundry and get everything caught back up. I did pretty good on vacation but I am up a couple of pounds. We kayaked every day plus did a lot of biking but I also ate a lot of foods I don't normally eat, especially fried foods. Hopefully I can get back to it this week. I am going to the gym today. It has been a while since I have seen that place and I'm sure I'll feel it. I tried to get on MFP last night but my computer locked up twice and I gave up. Hope you all have a good weekend. We will be putting up our new above ground pool M-T-W next week so I'll be very busy and pooped but I'll try to jump on and say hi. TTYL.

Hi team!!!! Happy Father's Day Jack and Hawkeye!!!!

So yeah....we are a little quiet on here lately. Hopefully everyone is just being really active for summer and that is why. I know we are...

Yesterday went fishing all day. Had a great day even if the wind continued to blow! It was relaxing to just sit beside the lake for a while with the family.

I have had a victory today....not in weight loss really but in activity.....I got on one of our peddle bikes and road around our neighborhood a little (up hill too) and my knees were not screaming when I got off. I am being very positive at this point. Hopefully I can get back into riding once in a while. Even if it is just to Curves and back (about 8 blocks away).....That is still more than I was able to do before. I used to love to ride bikes, but then my knees got to where I couldn't.... Maybe the additional exercise and training has helped!

Well...better go get ready for our bar-b-que tonight. Talk to everyone tomorrow! Oh yeah....I gained this week BOOOO!!! Not much so it will be okay!

Hi all, it has been a busy week. I think I got my head back in the game. Will try to get back into excerising tomorrow. Planning for a 30 min walk, some crunches, and some arm weights, one day, then squats the next. See if I can do that for mon - fri. Have gained close to 3 pounds, but I am sure that will be able to drop easy once I get back eating good. Haven't totally been eating bad during the day, but man have I been pigging out on junk in evening. Plus with the weather being so crappy can't get out. But I think the nice weather should be here. I also am going back to my profile to reevalute my goals one last time. Hopefully I can stick to it this time. Hope everyone is doing good.
