Vibration

Has anyone done that vibration thing? There is a place I live close to called Pro Vitae. The people that go to it swear by it but it seems gimmicky to me. Has anyone in here had any success doing it?

Gimmick unless you're doing it on a "professional" platform and doing some serious compound lifts.

Are you talking about power plates? I use them as part of my warm down and its helped annecdotally with avoiding injuries. If you mean for weight loss, then you might be disappointed as you still have to exercise, although they do offer a small additional calorie burn.

Yea, so, uhm, my mind went to the gutter at first.

After looking it up, now I'm wondering, is this a Dr Oz thing? I'd say gimmick.

I am a fairly private person. I couldn't imagine going somewhere to do my vibration thing. Oh, well. I don't think it has helped with weight loss regardless.

Ha funny. I guess it does potentially leave it open for gutter interpretations.

Thank you for the input. I figured gimmicky.

They also rave about ability for these vibration plates to reduce cellulite and say they have healing properties.

Have you actually used them. Fine go with gimmickky, but as is often the case most people on MFP dont even know what they are. Go with gimmick then if thats what your research tells you.
