Craving Soda's on a partially day every week?

Hey everyone!
I have a bit of a strange question. For a while now, I've been craving soda's on the weekends (Always Friday night and then either Saturday or Sunday). I normally have 2 every week and take diet since it has no calories. It is strange the cravings always come Friday night and then once on the weekend. I have been drinking only tea or water the other times and I've been wanting to not drink soda a lot since it's bad for your health. I actually use to be a huge soda addict. 1 in a half years ago, I would drink 2-4 regular sodas just in 1 day! I was so addicted and couldn't go 1 day without it. With the encouragement of my husband, I gave up the sodas and only drink them occasionally and I feel much better! The biggest change was the soda made my blood pressure extremely high. Before I wasn't drinking any sodas for 2-3 weeks and I never thought about it. But the last few months, I crave them on those days. I think it's very strange it's 98% of the time I crave one, on those partially days. I started eating and taking calcium supplements since I heard your body needs more calcium if your craving junk food or sodas. The good news is lately I haven't been craving any junk food really which is huge for me since I use to always eat candies, chips, chocolate's, pasties, ect. What do you guys think? Or is it a different vitamin I need? Maybe I'm unconsciously rewarding myself from the hard work all day and think I need a treat? It might be a strange question, but I'm just so curious as to why it is happening.

Well drink some soda then.
Depriving yourself of things you want isn't going to end well.

If I crave it a lot, I don't deny it to myself. I never deprive myself of anything I really want. I'm just curious as to why it's happening and why primary on those days.0 -
Cravings don't always mean anything physical, just like hunger doesn't always mean you *need* more calories, etc. You may crave it because you like it or because of old habits or old triggers or because it's getting warmer or because you've been having fewer treats, or anything. But it's probably a personal reason and not a vitamin (the soda wouldn't supply you with any), so likely no one can tell you.0

Thank you so much futuremanda! I heard that cravings mean your body needs a certain vitamin, so I thought my body must have been craving calcium if I was craving soda. I think it could be emotional more likely then, like old habits, because I like it, and as a treat.0 -
When I want a soda I drink the dasini flavored waters that are carbonated. Also drinks called ice are good0
