does anyone know why the app does not show any calories burned for my strength training exercises?

If you log it under "cardio" then you can get a calorie count. It is very hard to decipher how many calories one burns lifting weights. And it is a low calorie burn at that.

It's really hard to calculate this accurately, I use Anita Beans Strength Training book to calculate mine then I break down to give me my daily requirements that will support my training & lifestyle! You should try it!

strength training is hard to calculate as it burns calories the DAY AFTER training as well as your body uses energy to repair the torn muscles... so it burns while you train (heart rate monitor could measure this) but its very hard to workout how much you burn the day after...
    sorry

Ib ommon with a lot of people I dont bother logging anything for strength training as it burns relatively few, but as stated its hard to calculate. Dont worry just becayse you dont log it on MFP be assured your bidy gets 100% of any burned.

Yes I quit with the exercise calories just log it as 1. Its a minimum of 100 calories an hour and the rest is just a guess
