Just got the HR Charge and wish I'd gotten it sooner since I've been working out almost daily for a month now. But since there is no weight change yet logging my calorie consumption is going to be key.

Still a [fit]bit  confused about where I should log manual exercise. Thought I read everytihng should be entered into MFP, but saw in FAQ that it's recommended that exercise be added in Fitbit. But will that double it? Looked like the preset exercise list was more thorough in Fitbit than MFP's list. So I guess a still confused what the benefit is of using MFP when there is a Fitbit app. Happy fit Saturday to all!

You can learn more in the Fitbit Users group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users

MFP says to log everything in MFP, but that's just a serving suggestion. Exercise syncs both ways, and exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time.

No need to log any step-based activity—your Fitbit is tracking it for you. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in Fitbit (that's what I do) or in MFP—never both. It'll take trial & error to find which you prefer.

Thanks! I think I will go ahead and add non-step exercises in Fitbit from now on and anything consumed in MFP.
