My Raw Food Diet Provides Unhealthy Stats

I have eaten a raw food diet everyday for the last 3 weeks with 4 cheat days. Every day I only eat about 1500 calories yet my sugar and fat percents are almost twice what they should be. This can be attributed to the fact that i eat a lot of raw nuts and a lot of fruit. However, is all of this fat and sugar from two seemingly healthy snacks unhealthy? Keep in mind i'm not eating a ton of either. Take today for example. I ate 2 peaches, a banana, rasberries, and blueberries with perhaps 20 almonds and 10 cashews.

Is that all you ate today?! Because if that is your total intake for the day that is super low. What about protein and other nutrients? Normally I'd say don't worry about natural sugars and healthy fats, but this diet you're on sounds pretty unhealthy. Good luck to you - I could never sustain that for very long.
  • Sorry if that was misleading, those are the items adding to my fat and sugar intake. Other than that i had a cucumber, a few slices of ham, some pickles, a bunch of lettuce with lemons, some tomatoes, a cup of high fiber oats, and protein powder with soy milk. I actually eat quite a lot, just of low calorie foods, but my reliance on fruits and a few nuts to curb hunger for a few hours racks up fats and sugars quickly in my log.

Hi only, I'm having a lot of success eating raw. Its just two weeks now and ive lost over 7 lbs and I feel great! All of the inflammation I had is gone and I look like I lost 20 lbs! My skin looks amazing. I used to be a real snacker and craved sweets constantly. I used to eat a lot of fruit the first week, but thats subsided. The cravings for those sugary foods are completely gone and I now crave real food and packing the most punch nutritionally. I eat a lot of kale. Kale chips (I have a great recipe), adding kale to my romaine salad, smoothies etc. I also eat a lot of nuts which I've incorporated into raw desserts, kale chips etc. I eat a lot of nutritional yeast which is packed with nutrients and adds a cheesy flavor. I make sure I eat at least a half of an avocado a day. Its important to add a lot of variety. You are not eating enough food. Dont think about restricting yourself with eating raw. The beauty of it is that your body will start telling you naturally what you need. Trust the goodness in the whole foods.
