Is cutting grass considered as exercise?

I am still gonna walk on my treadmill, but I was wondering if i should be logging my grass cutting. I don't usually cut the grass, but my hubby is out of town. I am a waitress and i walked about 3 miles at work today. I'm just wanting to make sure i am as accurate as I can be when logging. Thanks for your input.

Heck, yes, I would count grass cutting.... mowing the lawn.... that's hard work. I pay somebody to cut my lawn because it has hills that I can't manage, otherwise I would cut it myself for the exercise (and save the money).

How big is your lawn and how long does it take?

If you're using a push mower, darn skippy it is exercise. If you're riding around on it and turning a wheel, then it's not much more exercise than sweating in a car with no power steering.

If the grass is thick and long, it might even qualify as strenuous exercise.

I did use a push mower. It's about a half an acre and it an hour and a half. Man was it hot!

I think that's under mowing the lawn. They have 2 categories, one for riding mower, one for general (push). The general is about 400 calories an hour, so 600 calories for 90 minutes. Count it!
