Losing Weight, Yet More Pain?

Has this happened with anyone else? I'm 23 but I have a long history of back, hip and knee problems along with arthritis that are genetic but were exacerbated by being overweight. When starting this, I assumed that the more weight I lost, the better my joints and hips would feel but it's actually the opposite. I know I am exercising more often and that would cause some problems but I try to do as little as I can that would aggravate my joints. I don't run or do a lot of hopping or jumping... just walks with good quality shoes, some zumba, swimming when I can, and now cycling. I'm currently taking Vitamin D, Glucosamine and Chondroitin and Omega 3 & 6 capsules in an attempt to get this under control. Haven't seen my doctor about this yet as I'm currently in school over an hour away, but is there any way that my fat was somehow protecting and cushioning my joints?
