What do y'all think about calories? I know we are supposed to stay under 1200. However, at the same time it says we should eat at least 1200 to keep a healthy metabolism. On the weekends it is easy to eat over 1200-I stay under 1500 on Sundays (my splurge day). However, during the week I am consistently around 800-900 because it is hot, we stay outside, and I am not inside eating. Am I messing up my progress?

You are not supposed to stay under 1200. 1200 calories is far too low for the majority of people. You should be eating between your BMR and your TDEE (both super easy to figure out online).
Eating too little will do more harm than good. Not only are you not fueling your body properly you are also going to be seeing increased loss of muscle mass.0
