Hi! My name is Tina. I am 55 years old and I lived a VERY sedentary lifestyle all my life with a bad back and a bum ankle. I also never caught the cooking bug so fast food was my friend. My life changed drastically when I moved to rural America 2 years ago. Gone where the trips to the mall to grab a bite to eat. I have had to cook for myself. It hasn't been pretty! I'm not sure how my daughter (who is a wife and mommy herself) survived in my household! In March I realized I was spiraling out of control. I took on an accountability partner (and a bet). My starting weight was 219.8 and so far I have lost 23 pounds!!!! The bet ends June 1st but I realized I have to keep going!! My goal weight is 175. My NSV is to forever leave plus size and to learn how to cook! Looking for some MFP buddies!

I started at 209lb or 95kg in January, lost 8lbs or 4kg between then and March. Started losing weight with support on the 25th March weighing 200lb or 91kg. Yesterday I weighed 174lb or 79kg. I've dropped from a UK size 18-20 to a UK size 12-14. MFP has helped me keep track of my food and my weight. I don't have much support here because I'm far away from home. I only have my husband and four kids. I have gotten support from my friends here on MFP who are supportive and really nice.
Cooking is simple, get your ingredients ready, stick them in a pan or the oven and wait till its ready. There are lots of recipe books that have calories all mapped out for you.
    Good luck!

Thank you Jorinya! Online gave me access to "friends" who were going after their dreams instead of settling for being the chubby girl. These online friends continue to be the boost and inspiration I needed. I workout at home and walk also. Looking for online friend s who understand the struggle!
