Still Confused

Today I did the 21 Day Fix "Dirty 30" workout. I searched for it in Fitbit but couldn't find it. So then I added it as a strength workout in MFP. I notice it didn't get added to Fitbit although a "workout" shows up around that time. Not sure if it will show as double since strength workouts don't ask for start time. I have no idea what things I should add in Fitbit vs MFP or why I need both apps. Very confused and spending too much time sitting trying to log things accurately lol. Help?

    Your Fitbit burn is TDEE—way more accurate than any online calculator. Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Fitbit burn during that time, so I only log exercise in Fitbit.

    It'll take trial & error to find what works for you. I don't log strength training—I just consider it extra insurance that I'm actually eating at a deficit. YMMV.
