Hello, i just wanted to share my success story with you. After years if going up and down on the scales i have finally maintained my goal weight for three years. It began with the advice my daughter gave me to use, "My Fitness Pal". No I am not an advertiser! But for the first time I had control. It has been so easy to use the app and I could quickly see that i needed to make better choices. I haven't stopped eating what i like but have switched food. I replaced fatty foods with healther choices. I also began to weigh everything i ate. I still do. And i began to exercize every day. When i saw that i could burn 400 calories on the treadmill i was ecstatic. I was eating more and still loosing weight. I am 5' 10" and now weigh 133 lbs. Clothes fit and i feel great. It took awhile to get used to exercizing but now its a habit.

    Way to go! I love seeing the numbers in MFP too...keeps me in check.

    AMEN to that. I used to be sedentary, 320 lbs., and the thought of exercising on a daily basis made me cringe. I pushed myself to do it, and I acquired a taste for it. Now, after about 2 years, I really look forward to it. I think what really drives me is the sense of exhilaration and self esteem boost I get from it. as my muscles became stronger, and my endurance raised, it became more exciting to actually FEEL the difference, rather than depending on the scale and the mirror to affirm my progress. Your story is very motivating for me, and I thank you for sharing it. One day, when I am ready, I will share more of mine.
