How much should I really be eating?

MFP recommends 1300 net cals to lose 1 lb a week. But I only lose .5 lb a week or sometimes none on that diet. Even with eating exercise cals back I feel weak. I have increased it to 1600 net and only maintained. I'm thinking of trying 1500 net this time a long with some strength training and just stop worrying about the scale. I have tried calculating my BMR and I keep getting different numbers. According to MFP it is 1800. I have it set to sedentary and I eat exercise cals back. I estimate them on the lower end so I don't over eat. Even at 1500 net I still feel like I could eat more. But if 1800 is my BMR I will be barely losing anything. Am I supposed to stick with 1300 and just starve?

I wish I had the right answer as far as how many calories would be most beneficial 4 you. One thing I have learned for sure
if you decide to lower your calorie intake, you don't need to starve.

Add some veggies, lots of veggies. They help you to feel full and don't eat up many calories
(for example, today I was wondering what healthy snack I could use to get to 1200 *as you know that was before the BK burger was delivered to my door)

    you could try:
onion, tomato, peppers, mushrooms and/or spinach in on or next to your eggs for breakfast
add a salad or make your own low sugar/ low mayo coleslaw or have some raw carrots to go with lunch
and add an additional veggie to dinner you can get really creative with your veggies
