Have been dieting for two months and not losing anymore weight

I've been on a very strict diet for nearly two months. I lost 6 kg and now I'm not losing weight anymore even though I'm not eating much at all.
Can somebody tell me why? I'm going crazy

I haven't checked to see if your diary is open but what's your daily calorie goal? Are you using a food scale to weigh everything you consume? Are you logging those foods accurately?0

What do you mean by 'not eating much at all'? You sure? Are you weighing and logging all your food and drink? Trust me, there are times when it may not feel like you are eating much, but once you honestly log all the calories it can be rather surprising.0

You have lost 6 kg in two months or you lost 6 kg and haven't lost anything in the past two months? Nobody can tell you why without more information, how tall are you, what's your current weight, what's your goal, how many calories are you eating a day, are you weighing your food?0

Your profile says you only have 7 lbs to go and in your picture you look thin already. You're obviously already in your healthy weight range. Those last few pounds can take a long time to come off.

I understand completely. I am experiencing the same phenomenon. It is very frustrating to set a calorie goal/exercise routine and stick to it so well for so long, experience consistent decrease in weight and then changing nothing, everything stops. It is called "plateauing". Check out this link from the Mayo Clinic. Ok I'm sorry: I'm 1.60m tall and I currently weigh 52.2kg. Two months ago I weighed more or less 58.
Breakfast: coffee, 1 biscuit maximum
Lunch: fruit or salad(with tomatoes, tuna and mozzarella)
Snack: an apple, strawberries or 60g of fruit ice cream
Dinner: could be salad with tomatoes, chicken and onion; or 70g of pasta; or vegetables and fruit0 -

OP you're being vague.
How many calories are you eating daily, are you eating back your calories from exercise?
You're already at a 20.3 BMI, which is in the healthy range and it is starting to tilt towards the the end of the healthy weight spectrum.0 -
1) log your food and eat a reasonably amount
2) weight loss isn't linear. If you've lost 6 kilos in 2 months, it's a lot, but you won't lose every week.0 -

Why download the app then completely disregard what it tells you by eating only 600 calories? That is NOT healthy and very much NOT what this app is for. You should be netting a minimum of 1200 a day (that's after subtracting exercise calories).
Count everything you eat accurately (so that's weighing everything you can with a food scale) and eat to your calorie goal (so not 600 a day) and you'll be fine.0 -

That is incredibly low and not only unhealthy, but unnecessary. You should be eating more, not because it will help you lose more weight, but because your body needs fuel.0

Martina, 600 calories a day is way too low. As others have stated, you are in starvation mode. Please read that link above from Mayo Clinic. 1200 is the magic number not to go below. Please rethink your strategy and think long term. The point is to loose weight and do so healthfully for a long and healthy life.0

That doesn't matter. you're not getting enough food. Eventually you'll stop getting your period and your hair will fall out. They're right. You need to stop, and get help if you can't.0 -

Well here's a tip - starving yourself isn't going to do anything good for your health.
You really don't need to lose anymore weight, you're already tilting towards the end of the healthy weight spectrum.0 -

Starving yourself isn't the answer, no more than cutting off an arm to lose the weight is. Count your calories accurately, you still haven't answered if you weigh all your food or not. You may actually be eating way more than you think you are. And be patient, with only 7lbs to lose you shouldn't be aiming for more than half a pound a week. Plus you look great in your profile pic anyway, it really doesn't look like you need to lose more weight (though I hesitate to say that since people say it all the time to me and I'm still trying to lose a few more pounds!).0 -

Your body is now doing everything it can to stop losing weight because you are starving it. The best way to lose weight is to make sure you are eating the recommended amount of calories this website suggests, choose a fitness goal, and start training for it. Remember that the point of losing weight should always to be healthy. I recommend you talk to your doctor about your weight-loss goals and they will help you achieve it in a safe and healthy way.0

Weigh all your food so you know exactly how much you are eating; don't just go by packet recommendations (as in, one croissant is 230 calories or whatever). Eat AT LEAST 1200 calories a day.
Loads of people here (me being one of them) are losing weight eating more than 1200 calories, but 1200 is the minimum any female should be eating.
And be realistic. You are not going to lose 5lbs in one week, and trying to will either lead to illness or binging.0 -

While she is certainly under-eating if 600 is true, this is incorrect information. Starvation mode, as referenced, is a myth. 1200 is not the magic number. The magic number is your TDEE for maintenance, and TDEE - x for weight loss where x equals a number appropriate for your current weight and amount you need to lose... all while providing adequate nutrition to meet your macros and micros.0 -

It sounds like you don't really know the basics. The reason for the lowest calorie limit for girls being 1200 is that you need a certain amount of Protein, fat, fiber, and vitamins for your body to function properly. It's hard to get to those levels on restricted calories.
Eat to what mfp tells you and get at a minimum what it suggests for protein, fat, and fiber.
Looking at your picture, it looks like you need to add some muscle. The women here are fantastic and very knowledgeable. Trust what they say.
*also I'd recommend going and reading the stickies at the top of each forum section. They are full of great information that will give you the knowledge on how to go about getting the results you want in the right (healthy) way.0
