I am a new user.

I have been on every diet and food plan known to man for the past 40 years . My last plan, although successful, was extremely strict and unforgiving. I have been morbidly obese for over half of my adult life. I lost over 200 pounds in 2010 and maintained my weight for a year, then started gaining again until I found about 100 of those lost pounds.

So, that leads me to here.

This seems fairly easy to follow. I am having a problem balancing my calories with my nutrients. Any suggestions? I am under my calorie goal daily, but still over in the protein category. When I get to the end of the day, and need to add some calories, I cannot seem to find a food that will add calories without putting my sugar and protein over the top of the allotted amounts.

I am looking forward to a successful journey.

Welcome! The calories are definitely the most important piece of the puzzle. Focus on those first and then consider adjusting your nutrient goals. We are all different, for me I try and get the majority of my very limited calories from lean proteins, veggies and fruits. I am an older woman (50) and not too tall so I go with 1200 calories a day. You may have to adjust it a bit to see what works well for you!

I look forward to following your journey!

I plan my food diary for the day when I get up in the morning including snacks . It is the only way I can keep my nutrients in check! I know you will do just fine and you can add me for support if you want. I am here every day!
