ab workouts

I'm trying all of these different ab conditioning to see what I'm liking best and feel is having the most impact. I've narrowed it down and have somewhat of a routine.
But I want to focus on below my belly button to get rid of a small pooch i have and I only feel the conditioning just below my ribs.
Do you guys have any suggestions of ab conditioning that focuses a little more on the muscle that runs from top of pelvic bone to below my belly button?

Edit: I guess I should add that I've had ACL reconstruction surgery a few years ago and it didn't really heal properly. :/ It "crunches" just going up a step.

    I'll have to try it! Deadlifts probably more than squats since I have a bad knee from ACL, MCL, and Miniscule tear. I had surgery a few years ago but I guess I didn't gain the muscle back quick enough or it didn't heal properly. Maybe the squats will help build that muscle in my leg again with supervision though! I'll give it a go!

    Exercises don't target body fat. So i'd follow the usual fat loss advice of eating the right number of calories, and doing full-body strength training to keep a high metabolism. Popular strength programs here include NROLFW and Stronglifts. Pick one and run with it. Get approval from your doctor first though.

    Sometimes a bit of a belly pooch could be a posture issue... I scoot the seat on my bike around to work lower abs. Leg lifts after the initial 90 degree lift is good for that area. At least I feel it there and my lower back. I've had a couple of c sections and a trying to build my core to help take some of the work off my Lower back.

    You should try reverse crunches which focuses exactly on the area you described. Also, I'm told that what ever you do to hold your stomach in so that it's engaged at all times and that should help too.
