Hiya
I've been doing the fasting diet for about 6 weeks now, lost 5lbs in first month
Had been consistently trying to stick to 1400 cals beforehand (for over 2 years!) and it was becoming stale and a bit depressing so wanted to try something new & different
I actually really enjoy the challenge of my fast days, and I love that if I want a treat, I only have to wait 'until tomorrow' for it!
I started a blog about it here http://fastdayfood.blogspot.co.uk/ and I'm adding food and recipe ideas all the time
HTH and good luck

Hello,
I haven't done it personally but I know people that have done it.
Drinking water and coffee can help suppress your hungry feelings for a little longer.
Try things like a small bowl of porridge, pears, cup a soups, or anything with a low G.I number.
http://www.the-gi-diet.org/lowgifoods/
The lower the G.I the better, just be sure to check the calories first as you want to have enough for dinner.
You could have a plate full of veg with a little gravy if you have enough calories left, or soups.
But just remember as much as fruit is good for you, too much can be bad for you as all the sugars process into carbs.
Feel free to add me if you want any more help0 -

It does get easier on fast days. My husband and I are both doing it and we agreed today was our easiest fast. After 14 weeks we've both lost 20 lbs and I've had incredible changes to my cholesterol!!
We basically have egg and mushroom for breakfast, homemade soup for lunch(I have a vege soup that's 24 cal a serve) and fresh fish and vegetables for dinner
I have 3 different soups I make and I'm happy to share the recipes. We have a few rice thins for a snack if we need them with chive and onion lite Philly.
Good luck on your journey. It's worth persevering.0 -
Tips:
Keep your fluid intake up, eat your calorie allowance with filling, nutritious and low GI foods. Keep yourself busy.
I'm looking forward to a tuna nicoisse salad and strawberries for my lunch for example.
