Hello from Australia :)

My goal is to conform to the ideal male standards set by television and magazines, I want to look like what I see on TV because that's what society tells me I'm meant to look like.

18 years old
71kg (157lb)
175cm (5' 9")
10% body fat

My whole life I've been rather skinny (always at a healthy BMI though), I've always been an endurance athlete, never had much luck in contact sports. I've always found it really difficult to gain any form of weight - guess I lost the genetic lottery...

I started trying to change myself back in March when I was only 66kg / 146lb and I've gained 5kg (11lb) since then. I'm trying to consume about 2500-3000 calories per day and making sure I get in about 150g of protein.

I've always been an avid cyclist, I used to ride about 200km (124mi) per week but I'm going to try and cut that down so I don't lose too much of my gains. I've just started weight training at home with a bench and some free weights but I'm going to join a gym soon.

Hope I find the motivation to stick around :)
