So at the gym I don't have a routine, should I make one and how do I do it?

Yes, you should have a routine. That's how you will be able to track your progress and make noticeable gains. What routine you choose depends on your goals.

Strength training, look up starting strength, stronglifts, etc.
Bodyweight/calesthenics, I've heard good things about convict conditioning.

Even if you want to just do cardio, track your time and intensity each trip and try to improve a bit week to week.

Yes have something in mind. I went to the gym a few weeks ago, with every intention of working out, got there and thought, 'what am I going to do now?'
Since then I have split up my days into legs and arms, and have a list of different sets, so if a particular machine or area of the gym is being used I go on to the next one and then go back.
So yes, I think the key is plan.
If you are more familiar with the gym I think you can wing it, but for me, I like to know what I am doing so I don't look like a newb lol. Which I am HEHEHEHE
