Hi every one! I have been in MFP since January and have made great strides. I am down from 160's to 140 ish. But I could really use some advise from some other people who have managed to lean out and weight train. I work from home so I am a nut when it comes to weighing and measuring, I rarely eat out (chek out my diary) and I work out atleast 4 times a week - i really push for 5. Here's the thing - I have run my bmr and my tdee and done the whole multiple by 20 and that is what my max caloric intake should be -1558 - i have been there for over a month and have not lost any weight in almoost 2 months. I was @ 1331 max prior to for a months so i figured I needed to eat more to compensate for the addition of weight training. I take a true kickboxing class at a a dojo for an hour 3 days a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays - those are the days in my diary with huge calories burned. I also take the class on saturdays but took 2 weeks off to weight train at the gym on Saturdays instead. I also go to the gym and weight train for atleast 45 minutes 2-3 times a week. It is staggered - for example last week - I went to Kickboxing tuesday and then the gym to weight train for an hour Wednesday i weight trained - thursday kickboxing class and saturday kick boxing class and then I stayed at the dojo an extra hour anda 1/2 for advanced training. In every class we do HIIT training and run a mile and a 1/2 before we box. I wear a heart monitor for all of my work outs and it transfers over from Garmin to MFP. When I weight train i do drop sets to failure. I run the 5K every time I go to the gym before i weight train (unless im coming from the dojo of course)
SO the problem is I am stuck though in the 140's. I always have a deficincy so im confused. My question then becomes - do i eat less or do i need to eat more? I know i am getting stronger and have certainly gotten more muscle - i have gone from 30 to 30.4% muscle in the past 2 months and my BF keeps floating between 27.6 and 27. My water floats between 51.7 and 52.8. Like i said this has been the case for 2 months now so CLEARLY I am doing something wrong. I am training for the Urban Mudder here in NY in July and it has some obstacles that require muscle so i def do not want to stop working on the weights but im tired of seeing the 140's on the scale lol.
Sorry for the long speil but i wanted to try and answer all the questions I seepeople normally ask.
Id like to compete next summer in a body competition but know i really need to lean out some more and get the weight under control first.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
