when setting up my fitness pal it gave me a calorie goal of 1200 calories per day ( my job is sedentary, i sit at a desk all day)
-after work i go to the gym which reduces the net calories in my app by whatever calories i burned
-am i supposed to be eating MORE to bring the net calories back up to 1200? I keep hearing about your body going into starvation mode and hanging on to fat instead of burning through it
-if it matters, I have about 100 lbs to lose

Seeing as you're eating 1200 calories per day. It is advised that you eat back your exercise calories.
