Accuracy of Calories and Nutrition Information

I love this site, I find it so helpful. However, I struggle at times with believing the accuracy of some of the food entries. Often times, there will be more than one entry of a particular item, with completely different calorie counts. Which do I choose? What's a girl to do?

use whatever your packaging is and verify. if you're doing veggies and the like type in, "broccoli - USDA" for example. If you're just randomly picking "chicken soup"...well, don't do that...that's just some persons recipe for chicken soup. use the recipe builder to create recipes or enter the individual ingredients...never use generic entries...they're, well...generic.0

This thread does a great job of explaining how to find accurate food entries.
