Macros?? Help

starting right now.. Ehat is that macro stuff??

Set myself to 2 pounds x week ln a 1400 calorie intake..

What is macros? How to do it?? Shluld i do it rith or start just my counting calories?

    Macros are, mostly, protein, fat, and carbs.

    Start with counting calories and a somewhat reasonable choice of foods and then maybe work into focusing more on macros as you learn more.

    Macros are your protein, fat, carb amounts. Carbs and protein have 4 calories per gram (I believe), and fat has 9 calories per gram. So when you have a total like 1400 calories, that will give you total grams for each of those each day. Some people track those rather than just calories. Everyone responds differently to the macro levels, so they will modify the breakdown from 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat to something that still totals up to 100%, but could be 30%, 50%, 20% respectively.

    Until you get comfortable with your tracking, it may be best to focus on just calorie counting until you can do some research and see what would work best for you.
