Can't Sleep

I have trouble falling asleep no matter how exhausted I am. Then when I finally doze off, I can't stay asleep. I function daily with little sleep. I'm in menopause, but control symptoms with healthy non-prescription methods, I am 20-25 pounds overweight and have just cut way back on caffeine. But I need help. Any suggestions for a sleepless 55-yr old grandma?

    Have you tried any relaxing herbal teas? There are a few that offer rememdies for sleeplessnes.

    Are you laying on bed watching tv or using another electronic device right before trying to go to sleep? I know this sometimes causes issues for people. I have also heard melatonin works great. I will sometimes take an Aleve PM if I'm struggling to get to sleep.

    Google "sleep hygiene." You will find some things that can help you.
    The best that helped me is to get all the electronics out of the bed room so that my body associates the bed with only sleeping and sex.
