Short back story....
I have been a cardio junkie most of my life. I have lost over 45lbs since having my twins. However, I am THEE definition of skinny fat, and it's killing me. I have finally gave up on constant cardio, and have overcame my fear of lifting.

I have decided I am going to start with SL5x5, but I won't be able to set up my bench/bar for maybe a month. I am eager to get started, though, and was wondering if anyone has started the program with kettlebells and if so, how?

Any info is definitely appreciated

Do you have anything besides kettlebells?
I don't think I've seen SL adapted to KBs.
I'd just find a KB specific workout and do that for a month until you can get your setup.

This. Find a different program and do that for a month. I'd like to help you out by giving you a program focused around kettlebells, but I don't know any...

    I have DBs.

The reason I ask is because I read on the SL site that the program is not compatible with KBs, but then farther down he says his GF does.... and you know what. I just answered my own question. lol

    Apologies.

I still wouldn't try to do a 5x5 with KB's or DBs. You certainly could do squats/presses/DLs/ and add swings as an accessory but you'll likely be performing most of these movements in a higher rep range with a volume based progression instead of progressing in load each session.

Simple and Sinister by Pavel. Get the book on Amazon. Just swings and TGUs. It works and you can do it in twenty minutes.

Kettlebells are awesome, BTW. I don't want to have to deal with bars, plates, racks, and benches. Who has room for all that stuff? Just these two exercises will make you stronger in all the right places and will get you in serious shape. Kettlebells will give you a strong, athletic physique, but you won't bulk up with them. If that's your goal, nothing beats the barbell.

Thanks, I'll look into that!! Also, I seriously doubt that I would ever "bulk up." I do have an obsession with one day being able to lift HEAVY, though lol.
