Trouble Using Barcode Scanner

So on my iphone I wanted to use the barcode scanner and I must have previously not allowed access to the camera because it gives me an error and tells me to go into my settings and change the camera settings for it to work correctly. I tried going into settings but I couldn't find out how to change it. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
