Hi All

Tonight I'm having a treat of 1/2 shish kebab roll, 1/2 chips and 5x tablespoons of madras curry sauce (this is my favourite takeaway treat) but how do I find the calories for these?

What do you do when searching for takeaway calories?

Thanks

I usually search on those items and use one which lists a higher calorie count than normal. For instance, we have a local Thai restaurant that has excellent Pad Thai. I type in Chicken Pad Thai and find that the entry for Thai Express comes in as 770 calories. That's the one I use. The serving I ordered seems quite large, so I split it half, counting each half as 770 calories, saving the second half for the next day.

I tend to do this too - I look for what seems to be closest and has the higher calorie count, and always overestimate.
