Anyone have visible reminders of progress?

I created a "calendar" on a regular piece of paper; partly because I wanted to start *right away* and because I'm cheap (don't need a proper wall calendar) but also because it enables me to keep more than one month on the same piece of paper at the same time = less paper and more visibility.

Anyway. On this paper, I have little boxes for each day; in these boxes, I fill out a coloured dot, depending on what I've accomplished that particular day. I have five colours and the goal is to fill all the boxes with as many colours as possible.

Pink = daily exercise (15 burpees, 10 push-ups, 1 minute plank x 2, 15 slow & 15 fast calf raises and 20 squats)
Blue = the gym
Green = no candy
Yellow = drank a green smoothie (gotta get those greens in!)
Orange = didn't spend any money that day

While the orange might seem odd, for me it helps a lot. Often, I can manage to not buy candy when I'm in the store to buy groceries, but then, in the evening... well... So if I have a coloured dot for when I don't spend money, I'm more likely to batch grocery shopping (the store is on the way during my five minute walk from the bus to home, so I can just pop in every day if I wanted = more temptation) and not go out and buy candy in the evening.

I find that it's quite inspiring and gratifying to have such a visible reminder of the progress I'm making - even if nothing shows on the scale or in the mirror yet, I'm changing my life and in a good way.

Anyone else doing something similar?
