Welcome to all the newbies! We have a great supportive group here whether you are a 20 mile runner or 220 mile runner!
@isulo_kura - @LoneWolfRunner is right you are crazy! Hill repeats alone would be enough to push me over but hill repeats in the mud were 'fun honest'? Love the pictures - Myka looks like she is just zooming!!
@kristinegift - the park looks like a great place to run!
@FitnessMeagan1105 - love your pink shoes!

Just under 5 miles for me today. Was supposed to be 3 miles at race pace day but my legs (hamstrings) were super tight. I managed to get a pretty quick overall pace but am hoping to push it down further on a day my legs feel 100%. This was followed by my training session tonight with a focus on legs and lats... Tomorrow is a rest day! Yay! I can say that now because I know I need it, but come tomorrow when I read about everyone's runs and exploits I will be sad I am not out running!

Oh I ran in my new Skora Tempos today! Felt like I was running with an old friend, they are so super comfortable! Thursday I will try out the Phase-X.

    Date.......Miles......Total
    06/01.....5.49.......5.49
    06/02.....4.71.....10.20 - Race pace +Strength training
    06/03.....0.00.....10.20 - Rest

I would love to join! My 13.1 training app has me running 49 miles this month and walking many more...I'll make it an even 50 and maybe I'll think about stretching to 60. 2 miles ran so far in June! :)

I wasn't planning on running until Friday but my daughter, 19,really wanted to run with me so I couldn't say no. She just completed her first year of college and is feeling the effects of the all-you-can-eat feature of the food plan and wants to walk and run with me to work it off.

Not wanting to tweak my Achilles I suggested we start walking and later switch to running. In all we we walked 3 miles and ran just one mile and had a great time talking.

After we got back she told me that she wanted to run a 5k with me before going back to school, so we have that to look forward to. I

1 mile down, 49 to go.

Just completed a 4.1 mile run and it's only the second time I've ever run in the morning and I have to say
I really enjoyed it. The streets are so peaceful and running while the sun rises puts you in a really relaxed mood. Managed to stay at a steady pace too

So 1/6 was 3 mile and today was 4.1 meaning I've done 7.1 so far this month

@caratayloruk - I always run in the morning and love it for the same reasons. And, the rest of the day you feel amazing!

Welcome to all those joining the challenge this month!

@7lenny7 - Sounds like the achilles is doing OK.
@MrsKGrady - Great to hear you are back. Every mile is a gift!
@kristinegift - Wow. You made that PR time with quad cramping over 2 miles??? You are my hero!
@isulo_kura - No wonder you run so much (even in the rain), that is some amazing scenery!
@caratayloruk - I agree, morning runs are the best.

More slow, easy miles this week. Slow, easy, oh so slow and easy, yeah, kinda boring, particularly since it's a down week so I have no strength routines this week either. But I'm getting good mileage and supposedly making myself faster. Hope to see these results by the end of the month before I lose my mind!

    6/2 - 4.1 miles
    6/3 - 4 miles (8.1 total)
