Plateau. HALP!

Alright. I only have a few pounds left to lose. I know that's not a big deal, but when you set a goal, you want to reach it! I'll be disappointed if I don't! I was losing regularly by eating well and doing cardio every day for about an hour (sometimes more, sometimes less).
Enter dreaded plateau. I'm stuck at this weight! I've been here for a month now. I've tried switching up my workouts, working out at different times during the day, eating more, eating less, eating at different times during the day. It won't budge!
I'm out of ideas. Is this just my body telling me that this is as good as it gets?

Eating at different times of the day won't make a difference. Eating more or less may do the trick, but you have to stick with a change like that for 4-6 weeks to know for sure. Switching things up several times in a month isn't enough time to know if it's working or not.
What's your daily calorie goal, and do you meet it? Eat back exercise cals? Do any resistance/strength training or just cardio?0 -
Your diary is closed and you don't tell us what your routine looks like.
Weight loss naturally slows down as you get closer to goal. You may be pushing your body to lose weight faster than it can at this stage. If you're within 5-10 pounds of your goal weight a 1/2 pound loss/week would be realistic.
You may also want to incorporate some strength training or HIIT training to your routine rather than straight cardio. You'll hold onto some water weight when you start out, but it will help your body composition in the long run.0 -
I just don't understand how I could hold onto weight if I am creating a deficit. It's annoying!0

I remember on the "In Place of a Roadmap" thread they suggested to try eating 1 day of TDEE (100%), next day 60% of your TDEE and then repeat 1 time to get out of a plateau. You could try that? I was thinking of doing so if my weight doesn't change this week.0

I'll try that. Thank you for the suggestion!0
