Starving all day after Orange Theory Fitness Workout?

Hi all,

I just started at an OFT near my house, and I am LOVING the workouts. However, I am constantly hungry no matter what I eat throughout my day (both the days I workout and don't). I drink about a gallon-a gallon and a half of water each day, so I know that I am not dehydrated. I will eat about every 3-4 hours and my meals are always well balanced with fats, proteins, and carbs. My nutritionist cut my 400 calories from my overall balance (used to be 2400 according to macro calculations I used), so that might be why, but I don't do well when I am hungry and lose energy quickly.

Anyone else experiencing this issue after working out at OFT? Is so, did your body adjust?

Thank you!

We don't have an OTF in our area so can't speak specifically to that. I do understand the OTF workouts include portions of high intensity work during them. I do tend to feel hungrier after a workout where I really get my heart rate up fairly high for a portion of the workout like running sprints, pushing a sled, etc.

I would say you will adjust. Especially since you just started a new workout and dropped your calories.

    Best of luck.

From my understanding, you will need to introduce the calories burned back into your daily caloric intake. For instance, I burn on average 700 calories each OTF workout. My daily caloric intake is 1500 calories. Therefore, I will need to consume 2200 calories that day to put me at my 1500 calories.
