If so wouldn't a merchant rather pay a small fee and be guaranteed those funds with a credit card payment as opposed to risking the check bouncing ?0 -
Isnt it possible that bank cheques are needed for large purchases like a car ? Arent bank cheques only allowed if the money is actually in your acc?0

Do you know that it's the same here? one Bank let's you take $300 per day and the Credit Union I use allows $5000
