What causes the bubbles to form? Isn't it a build of of carbon dioxide? Might it have gotten out somehow?

Would you believe I have known people like that? Did you know I am the same way with eggs simply because I prefer it that way? Did you know that I have a friend that, as far as animal protein goes, she won't eat it if it is in a state that reminds her too much of the animal in it's live form, whatever she means by that? Do you know I still haven't figured that one out?
