Aren’t your events all winter based?

Perhaps mine are? Wasn't I really good at track and field but just didn't have time for it?

Could that be a detail my miserable mind forgot?

Would that be a fact I don't tell many people?

Would you have special criteria for sharing that fact?

No? Other than its something boring so I don't mention it?

Who wouldn’t accept that as a reasonable answer?

Did you know Olympic gold is more boring than regular golf? Aren't I happy rowing is on but sad the men's rugby sevens is over?

    Why wouldn’t people watch rugby?
  • Alinouveau2
    Alinouveau2 Posts: 6,432 Member
Because they don't understand it? If only they would appreciate the fact they wear short shorts and are very fit wouldn't they want to watch then?

What type of person wouldn’t think rugby is the greatest physical sport out there?

    Isn't it insanely violent?

Can civilized people see violence differently?

Do you know you can read 40 pages of questions in under 15 minutes and laugh quite a bit?

So if 15 minutes is required to review 40 pages of material...do you realize how long it'd take for somebody new to this thread to review the past 4294 pages?

Wouldn't that turn out to be like one of Zeno's paradoxes?
By the time they read all those pages, there would be more pages, and by the time they read those pages, there would be even more pages, etc.? :D

Will someone ask @frontwheeldrive9999 why I had to go back for this? Is this the statement I was wondering about?
[Wouldn't it be the case that] by the time they read all those pages, there would be more pages, and by the time they read those pages, there would be even more pages, etc.? :D

    How easy was that?

Wasn't it the case that that's what I was thinking, even though I didn't say that?

Are we all mind readers (as well as a little bit crazy)?

Has your brain caught up to your words yet?

Would a good analogy be that my brain is like a vinyl LP playing at 33 1/3 rpm, and this thread is like a single playing at 45 rpm (or even like the early recordings that played at 78 rpm)?

Wouldn’t that be an analogy that will have several of the younger questioners here scratching their heads? 😂

But a descriptive one for those of us that understand?

Would that make some of us feel even older knowing that many don’t know what 33-1/3 and 45 mean….?

If I claim not to understand, can I pass for younger? ;)

Under what circumstances would I even feel inclined to question someone in that respect?

@cmsienk Is this another extreme generalization?
