    Wasn't I alluding to the fact that what Americans call fries the British call chips, and what Americans call chips the British call crisps? Don't I guess that Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders, among others, would agree with the Brits?

    have you heard of context?

    if somebody asks if you want chips with your steak would you think they meant fries or crisps, even though we call both "chips" ?

    How blown away do you think I was when my son surprised me over the weekend with an early Christmas gift of going together to watch my favorite American Football team in person? Given how much cheering occurred, is it any wonder I have zero voice today and can communicate with coworkers only via email?
