Don't I appreciate that? Won't today be a 16 hour work day, followed by an 11 hour work day that includes travel home?

Do you remember what you were doing back on 9/11/2001? Rather than changing the topic, is that not a decent segue to sharing the story of my longest shift ever? Can you imagine how spun up the military was after, including yours truly? Fighting to stay awake at the tail end of a 24-hour shift when the first plane struck, was I not immediately wide awake when news came that no relief crew was coming but I needed to stand by for orders? Do you know how hard it is to stay awake after 96 hours by the time our relief crew was allowed to replace us?

Wasn't I waiting for my dad to get out of surgery on 9/11 (the only surgery in that wing of the hospital to happen that day because all others were canceled)?

I never thought to ask before, but did Canada stop all commercial flights following 9/11 like the U.S. did? Do you guys recognize it annually, or is it merely a historical footnote?

Not only did Canada ground flights, didn’t the country accept 200+ flights that were on route to the US that day? Aren’t there countless stories of people helping with shelter, food, and supplies as some flights remained for almost a week before departing again?

As for remembrance of that day, isn’t much more than a historical footnote but likely less recognized than in the US?

How do you guys manage to continually set the bar even higher for entertainment? How is this level of intrigue possible in a questions only forum?!

Can you tell I’m reflecting on the grilled cheeses, the scandals, and the remembrance of tragedy over the past few pages?

But are you eating a grilled cheese while reading a Shakespeare tragedy?
