    Does the "triathlon" have to include sports?

    Is it true the word "triathlon" is derived from the Greek word "athlos", meaning "competition"?
    If so, couldn't you have a triathlon -- three competitions -- consisting of 1) LOTR trivia competition, 2) song recognition competition, and 3) wine tasting competition, or anything really?
    Doesn't my watch call it a multisport activity, but doesn't it also have "breathwork" and meditation as activities?

    Would it have to be competitive against others? Would, maybe, me waking up earlier than yesterday, making a healthier breakfast, and then taking the longest nap ever count as a triathlon???

    Does anyone have the gold medal handy so we can give it to @AdahPotatah2024 ?

    Shoot, I left mine in my bedside drawer at home...can the award ceremony wait long enough for me to go get it?

    Shouldn’t such an award be displayed prominently on a shelf alongside all your other awards, @nossmf?

    What if I don't have enough shelf space to display all of my rewards at the same time?

    Wouldn't your future grandkids be disappointed if you gave one to me in exchange for my lifetime achievement award in napping!?🤪

    Is there such an award? Do you think it would be based on quantity of naps or quality of naps?
  • Posts: 13,986 Member
    What about the duration of naps? Or does that fall under the category of quality?
  • Posts: 3,172 Member
    Isn't it sometimes better, though, to have a quick 5 or 10 minute power nap than a really long nap that makes you feel like not doing anything else for the rest of the day?

    If there were such an award and it was similar to Garmin's sleep score, wouldn't it be partly quantity but mostly quality? Wouldn't you think so looking at my sleep score for the last 3 nights:
    * Tuesday night sleep score = 79, quality: fair, duration: 6h 50m
    * Monday night sleep score = 92, quality: excellent, duration: 7h 8m
    * Sunday night sleep score = 89, quality: good, duration: 8h 34m?

    Have you ever scored a perfect 100 sleep score, like I did over the weekend?
  • Posts: 13,993 Member
    Hasn't the closest I've gotten was a sleep score of 98?
    With Duration, Stress, Deep, Light, REM and Awake/Restlessness all rated Excellent, aren't I wondering what it takes to get 100 and earn the Mythical Sleep badge? 🤔

    Who is Garmin and how did he come up with this sleep scoring system!?
  • Posts: 4,636 Member
    Is that what you guys use? Shouldn’t you guys switch to the AutoSleep app so you can score a 100% like me?

    Didn't I have to look that up, and found Garmin's sleep score is provided by First Beat Analytics, which Garmin acquired a couple months ago?
    So who has the best sleep analytics, Garmin, Google Fitbit, Apple, Samsung, Oura, or who? 🤷‍♂️

    Oh, am I the only person basing score upon the Sleep Number bed I use?

    Am I the only person who has never scored my sleep?

    Isn't it more likely you are in the majority of people who do not monitor their sleep?
    But like anything else, can't you benefit from focusing a bit on this aspect of your day?

    Does it take 2 points off for the fact that you have to monitor your sleep?:D

    Will anyone else be sleeping while traveling by plane today?
  • Posts: 9,459 Member
    Since I have not flown in a plane since last year, won't my answer surely be No?
  • Posts: 3,172 Member
    How could anyone sleep knowing that you are in a big machine flying in the sky above earth!?😅
    Were you able to sleep an A+ on the plane?
