Would you believe I like water bathtub warm and even then I get really cold really quickly? Might this be the reason I never really learned to swim?

Initially? Maybe like a punch to the chest? 😆
    Absolutely; didn’t I say I was crazy?

Isn't it only once you get out of the pool that you get cold?

Might some people just be really sensitive to water temps? Isn't it weird I'm freezing in a pool but can skate on ice in a t shirt?

Swimming is my preferred exercise, and I knew my gym's outdoor pool would be warming up, so how else would I find out whether it's warm enough for me to tolerate yet?
How is everyone else burning those extra calories?

Does the body work harder to try to stay warm in cold water? Does a wetsuit cause added resistance requiring greater effort? In my case, wouldn't a slower pace at a lower heart rate in cold water versus warm suggest more calories were burned in warm water than cold?
