How many calories should I burn if i'm consuming 1,200 calories a day for an effective weight loss?

Your calorie goal already includes your deficit for weight loss. Follow your calorie goal and you'll lose weight. No exercise necessary.
If you exercise, you eat back the calories you burn (if you're using MFP to calculate your calorie burns, eat half of them back since MFP likes to overestimate). So if you burn 200 calories, you'd add 200 calories to your 1200 goal, making it 1400.0 -
none…
1200 is insanely low for most people and I am assuming that already has a large deficit built into it.
You need to be netting 1200. So if you burn 500 through exercises then you eat 1700 - 500 burned = 12000
