Calories for Strength workout

Hi,
I am new to MFP. Have been using it for about a week to register calories and it definetly works :) 2 pounds down already makes me a happy camper. However one thing I do not understand is why does strength training not give you any burned calories? I lift weights, do squats and crunches etc and I do not understand why when I register them it doesn't count as any calories burned. There is no way doing exercise like that does not burn calories, so why doesn't MFP show them?
I would be greatful for any help on this point :)
Now I am headed to the gym for some yoga.

It's my understanding there is not an accurate way to capture them because weight lifting exercises create a burn that last well after your lifting session is over.

If you are looking for a general idea here's a link to the math I use to get a VERY BASIC idea of what I burned while lifting only.

I eat back my exercise calories which is why I wanted a general idea. I do not limit myself as much on lifting days. If I am hungry I eat. I just eat a smart choice instead of snacking on chips or something.
