hello.... I am new to this and was looking for some help/ insite..... I believe I have candida but the Drs. I have been visiting (over 4 years ) have been dumbfounded by my prediction.
I have been in and out of hospitals/specialists/GP For over 4 years with so many health issues that I believe are related to candida overgrowth. Anyone with the same issues?

Have you tried completely cutting sugar and bad carbs from your diet for 4-6 weeks? I have a friend who is predisposed to Candida along with her sisters. They all have done this and the condition is kept at bay.

wholehealthchicago.com/2009/05/03/candida-overgrowth-syndrome/ This sounds a bit like your story.

I cut sugar out and added daily use of 5 tablespoons of coconut oil (start out with 1 teaspoon and increase weekly is better for many).

I had it. My dermatologist suggested I might have an overgrowth in my bowels which made me look it up and then I realized that some other crazy symptoms I had, like brain fog and loss of memory (which was very scary since I was 25), must have been related to it. I didn't go back to the doc as I had already gotten antifungals and nothing happened. I read a lot about it and started the Candida diet and, at the same time, started working on my immune system (using propolis, grapefruit seed extract, multivitamins, turmeric, and other natural antifungals). The diet is very hard to follow but it was well worth it because, after a month, my symptoms were gone so this motivated me. After six months, I started introducing foods and "discovered" a wheat, egg, mushroom and banana (lol) intolerance. So, now, I just stay away from these foods and all is good. I personally know several people who managed to get it under control with this diet. If your case is not as serious, obviously, you can make less severe changes to your lifestyle and see what works for you. But I must say, through this diet, I really learned a lot about my body and how it reacts to any type of foods.

Keep your sugar and carbs low, eat live yoghurt for healthy bacteria, eat coconut oil for the caprylic acid and eat garlic for the allicin. You should start to see an improvement within 8-12 weeks if it is candida.
