    Welcome. Log all of your food everyday and stay in a calorie deficit of 250 to 500 calories a day and you will lose weight. It works.

    Welcome! Calorie deficit is the key. A deficit of 500 calories per day will give you a rate of 1 lb. loss per week. Since your goal is to lose 30 lbs, which isn't a huge amount, 1 lb per week is a good place to start. Get a food scale so you can weigh all of your solid foods (weighing is much more accurate than measuring).
