Making the trek to Disney. My youngest was not even three when we were there last, so I figure I should let him have that memory. Eight days. I upgraded us to Business Class. Will need the free booze.
Actually, really proud of the kids. I didn't want them to grow up thinking that it was "normal" to go to Disney three times or more as a kid. So, I told them we would go if we saved $5,000. There is literally a jar in my house with cash in it. Every week we put in $50 or $100 and I would ask the kids, "Should I buy you muffins or put $4 in the Disney jar?" "Should we go out to Dinner or take $60 and put it in the Disney jar?" They started taking portions of their holiday gift money and adding it to the jar. I wanted to teach them about delayed gratification, budgeting and financial choices, and for them NOT to grow up as entitled little *kittens.* Y'all didn't need to know all of that, but I am really proud of them!5 -
