hello! I'm pretty new to MFP (I started a couple of weeks ago) but not necessarily weight loss/better health journey almost 4 years ago. My family and I went paleo and I didn't do it for weight loss (though I needed to) but I did it for better nutrition and health. I honestly thought I couldn't lose weight because I had tried so many times and was unsuccessful. Well I ended up losing 40 lbs! Yay! Then I plateaued for a little while so I tried keto-paleo. I lost 10 more very quickly but ended up hospitalized for ketoacidosis (really!) it was really bad and a year and a half later, after doing lots of research, I don't think keto of safe for everyone so I know I can't try it again. But I was feeling at a loss as far as losing more weight. Although I had started out not caring of it last weight, I saw that it was possible now! I regained those 10 lbs I had lost on keto and I was getting really frustrated. I did a whole30 and lost a couple pounds but I knew I couldn't be that strict indefinitely and regular paleo wasn't getting me any further. So my husband and friend convinced me to try calorie counting with MFP. So far I'm loving it! My weight is finally coming off again! I'm down 3.6 lbs in 12 days! I'm still following paleo because of believe it to be the most nutritious easy of eating, but now I see that I was just eating too many calories, especially fat! I'm not finding it hard either. The first two days I was starving and went way over my calories, but I saw it was because I was eating too much fat and not enough protein. I upped my protein and reduced my fat no now I'm not feeling hungry and losing weight! I'm so happy! Yay!

    Congrats, I'm on my 3rd day of Paleo. This is my first day at work on it. Hope I brought enough food to eat.
