    Good Luck, Susan!
I hope you find this site as motivating as I do. It's really helping me be honest about what I eat, and i LOVE IT when I add my exercise and it tells me I can eat more! It took me about 2 weeks to get to where I could consistently make the calorie goal (at -1 pound per week), so don't get discouraged if it takes you a while, too.

What are you doing for exercise? or for fun? or both?
I go to Curves 3x a week and also walk with my golden retriever.

    See you on the site!
    Sandra

Hi Sandra! Thanks for the welcome! It's day 3 and I realized I should see if anyone responded to me. Good grief! Anyway, right now I walk my dog, Molly. She's part pointer part collie so she keeps me moving at a good clip. I belong to the Y and need to get back in the habit of going. Then a co-worker and I have some low impact exercises we learned at a class last weekend, so I am doing those everyday for about 1/2 hour. Recording the food is a little scary. This morning I made a couple really bad choices, but it's all about learning, right? On the other hand, I like to see what changing options does to the total picture. I think that is going to help me a lot!

Thank you 623Hernandez! I'm excited to be here. I love your reward system! I have an immediate goal of a family member's wedding in 2 months, a longer goal of a family member's wedding next year, and the permanent goal of a lifestyle change. I think the food diary is a little scary too, but it makes you think and it's fun to see what swapping out one thing for another will do with the #s.
