ab challenge WITHOUT planks?

I'd like to do one of those 30 day ab challenges, but I can't do planks due to a shoulder injury. (which is actually why I want to do the challenge, because my fitness has been derailed)

Does anyone know of any ab challenges without planks? or what I should substitute for the plank? I don't want to just skip it because I will feel like a failure from the start and likely give up.

    Ab challenges are pretty much pointless...especially if you are eating in a deficit.
